Dealer Interview: Casey Spigel (Baltimore)
We interviewed Casey Spigel, the store manager of Forever Wireless in Baltimore. Casey found out about SmartPay through Boost Mobile. Casey’s store gravitated toward SmartPay due to the ease of the application process, and also because the return option gives customers a peace of mind.
“Videos connect people better than words,” says Casey, who is planning to create a YouTube video to help introduce store associates to SmartPay. He believes that the medium of video can help to convey a sense of passion for the product. “When we onboard employees we want them to be aware of products and services we offer. I want to give our staff the tools and preparedness to be able to talk about the product and the service in the way we need to.”
Additionally, Casey is currently running a contest for store associates. “Right now we are paying $1 for every application and $5 for every completed deal,” he says. At the end of August, the top performer will earn $150, and 2nd place will earn $75.
Casey advocates for speaking to every customer about SmartPay in order to increase sales. Additionally, he brought all his employees to one location and ran a training solely for SmartPay. A Field Account Manager went over specific parts of the deal and demonstrated how to process an application. This training resulted in an increase in over 100 applications and 20 transactions.
