SmartPay is Rebranding, here's why.
Branding is a state of mind
If you’ve processed a SmartPay transaction in the past couple weeks on the store site or visited the dealer portal lately, you may have noticed something different with SmartPay Leasing. On October 3rd, we started a company wide rebranding effort touching all aspects of our business and how we communicate to our dealers and our consumers. This includes a new logo with a new color scheme, new messaging, and new websites with a new look and feel.
You may be asking yourself, “Self, why do companies rebrand themselves?
There are lots of reasons why a company decides to rebrand, or change their company image. It could be due to new ownership, expanding to an international market, or a change in brand portfolio. SmartPay decided to do it for 2 simple reasons:
Our focus is on you
Repositioning involves a brand changing what it stands for and how it positions itself in the market. SmartPay has evolved into a customer centric brand, which means all our focus is now on our customers (you) and what we can do to help increase your business. So with that in mind, we actually went out and talked to our dealers and asked what you wanted before we started making changes. Based on your feedback, here’s what we came up with:
- A new simplified product that is easy to explain and sell
- Enhancements to our store site such as an easy payment calculator and shorter application so you can approve customers quicker
- Addition of the Partner Dashboard providing insights and information regarding your SmartPay business so you can be as efficient as possible
Branding like it’s 2017 (but we still party like it’s 1999!)
Ever feel like you need a change? Like a new haircut, or a re-fresh of your wardrobe? That’s kinda how we felt. It wasn’t that we thought there was anything necessarily wrong with our former brand image, it just wasn’t as forward thinking as we could be and we decided it was a great time to present something thatis contemporary and will be relevant years from now.
With Millennial’s having so much spending influence, companies are looking to make their brands seem fresh and hip just like the people walking through their door (and working in the store!). So we went with colors that pop, a simple but stylish look and feel, and a modern tone to our communications that speak more to who buys and sells our product, like this groovy new blog we started.
So, what does this all mean to you? It means you can count on SmartPay to be a partner to your business. We want you to succeed. We want you to make as many customers walking through your door as happy as possible. And we believe we can help you do all of this by providing you tools, information, insight and an awareness that our dealers are our best friends.
